  1. When switching between different devices to watch a video (for example, from PC to mobile app), playback of that video should resume from whenever the user left.

In other words, Stream should remember till which point in the video the user has watched in one device, so that the user can resume from any other device.

    This is similar to YouTube.

  2. Since restream.io's api is available for all, can we get a native integration, so our meetings and conferences can stream to all of our social destinations if we have a special important guest or event?

I'm surprised no one has asked that before.

  4. Whilst you can edit the transcript it would be good if you could link the transcript to the people speaking in the video/facial recognition and so the transcript automatically links to the speakers

  7. Allow for replacement and/or updates of video files. Many times an existing video will require an update, but the existing link has been shared with 100s or 1000s of users and can't easily be replaced/re-communicated.

Allowing the video file to be updated reduces this disruption to media consumers.

  9. Would be great to be able to integrate in our channel external videos hosted elsewhere based on the URL of the video. Especially Microsoft Training videos which can be share with LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Skype,... but no STREAM !!! Strange. Would like to be able to gather Microsoft training videos I require for my team on a single stream channel but can't do it !

  10. Stream does not have a recycle bin and therefore videos that are deleted can not be recovered. This seems like a huge gap in capability that one would expect in an enterprise solution for video collaboration.

  12. When viewing a Channel, the title for some videos is cutoff. There is no hover feature to display the full title, instead users need to click on a video to view the full title.

  13. I understand Stream is targeted at managing video content, however, it would also be great to be able to upload images/photos as well.

  14. Right now I cannot find any way to export the entire text of a transcript. This would be an extremely helpful feature so I can provide transcripts in MS Word format.

  16. Please add the ability to update and hide the "published by" or "uploader" field from a published Stream video. There are workflows where the video gets uploaded by one person, but it should not show their name and should instead some a generic department name, or some other identifier. For example, company wide town halls should not show the producers name when uploading the video.

Similiar request for this here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-Stream-Forum/Changing-Published-by/m-p/225927?advanced=false&collapse_discussion=true&filter=location&location=forum-board:StreamForum&q=change%20publisher&search_type=thread

  19. The single feature that made Mix superb for use in teaching was its ability to embed Q&A in videos. This feature is missing in Stream. Without it, there are many competing ways to produce videos for teaching and it doesn’t seem that Stream offers an advantage.

  20. Since channels are meant to organize videos, If i create a Channel in Teams, it should create a Channel in Stream. So if i upload a video to a channel in my Team, the video would be uploaded to the same channel in Stream.
The same way it does when i upload a file to a channel, it uploads to the folder in the file library.
