Storage usage overview
The fact that you can't see an overview of a storage space usage per user(for all users at once) on a shared storage space is bizarre.

Bulk download
In current design, you have to download videos from stream one video at a time , we would like to have the feature to export those videos in bulk by administrators.

Provide option to allow anyone in the company to download original file
I'm using stream to save videos for our teams to take to events, and would like to allow them to download the original source video to a USB stick (for cases when we can't rely on the event wifi).
Could be implemented for all employees or a select group.

Use a checkbox interface to assign groups or channels to videos.
I often have to assign permissions on a video to multiple groups or channels. Right now, the interface makes me perform a search for each one over and over again. If I had checkboxes, I could assign a video to multiple groups and channels without having to perform the search over and over again. C'mon people, checkboxes for places where I might be making multiple choices is UX 101!

Allow channels to be assigned to multiple groups
I am a teacher and each class is assigned to a group. I often have two or three of the same class and I have to create a channel for each instead of creating one channel for all of my sections of the same class. This greatly increases the number of mindless clicks

Allow Live Events to RTMP push the video (to Youtube, Facebook and others)
Today it's possible to RTMP push the video from other sources to Live Events, mas the oposite is not possible.
We would like to have a Live Event that could also be viewed on other platforms like Youtube and Facebook.40 votes -
Add a message when sharing
When you share a video from Stream by e-mail there is no place to add a short message to the receiver.
I would like to have that, like when you share files from OneDrive.3 votes -
Supporting audio descriptions
Support audio descriptions in a video, i.e. text-to-speech solution that reads from a text file based on a certain time in a video, pause video if necessary while audio plays.
For example, in a live conference where a presenter is showing the audience a Powerpoint and not explaining a graph she is showing, a visually impaired person should be able to get information about what is shown in the video.
Could perhaps be solved by offering a second audio track on the video (+ pause video)

Keyboard Space bar is "Pause" or "Play"
Normally, the space bar on the keyboard is meant to let you pause or replay a video. Currently, the spacebar on Stream can't do anything except jump from fullscreen back to normal view. This is annoying

Adding a video to a channel
When editing a video to add it to a channel, you have to first type in the name of the channel in search before the channel shows up.
It would be great if either ALL channels, or YOUR channels showed up by default instead of having to type something in first.

Allow to record a pinned Windows in a Teams Meeting
when i hold a team meeting with a lot of people and someone presents his content it always takes all the tiles of all participants. It would be nice if it took the same settings for recording as I set it up.

Larger video player size
It would be helpful to have the option to make the video player larger.
I can do the default small size (can't see anyone's screen sharing details), or full screen (too big).
I don't want full screen because I can no longer multitask or switch windows easily. I prefer the video to fill the browser tab, instead of wasting all the white space.
Could we have a medium size that uses the browser screen size, without taking over my whole desktop in fullscreen mode?

Set the default preferred language before loading the video
Users have to choose the subtitle language each time they play a video.
1. Load the preferred language depending of the local regional settings of the user
2. Force to load a language through a parameter in the URL (Similar to the already existent parameter "st" used for setting the starting time)5 votes -
About checking the breakdown of the number of Stream followers
It's helpful to see who is following, not just the number of followers on the channel.

disable 'allow everyone in your company to view this video' for individual users.
The way it works right now is that it's kind of the wild west and anyone can post anything anywhere. There's no control.
We can restrict who can upload in general, but that breaks Teams meetings recordings. We have our admin level setting so that the allow the who company options is unticked by default, but there's nothing stopping the user from ticking it and making it viewable to the whole company.
We have one user that has upload literally hundreds of videos and just ticket the box for whole company access, just because it was easier to that than to only…

Feature to view the end log of watching a stream in the unified audit log
Users who have watched the video in the stream can search, but do not know when the user stopped viewing the video.
If I know when you stopped viewing the video, it makes it easier for employees to appreciate the case of providing accounts to outsiders.

Ability to set/force expiration date
Need the ability to cleanup old videos. Admin/Users should be able to specify an expiration date on every video. Video would then move to recycle bin, where it would then be deleted 30 days later.

Add admin option to disable transcript
Because of inappropriate transcription that was offensive, we need an admin option to disable transcript at organization level, or at least to it to disable by default.

Set "Sort by" default to "Publish date"
There's a glitch when you try to change how the videos are sorted. Every time you click the drop-down menu it adjusts the screen to the top of the page. Most students don't need the videos to be sorted by how many of their classmates have watched it. We need it to be sorted by the order in which our teacher or professor has taught it.
