Retain timestamp hyperlinks in updated version of Stream
In order to support sharing video guidance for processes, I benefit greatly from being able to send a video starting at a specific timestamp with others. I have not found a way to do that in the new version of Stream that is within SharePoint/OneDrive. It's very useful to allow people to click to certain parts of the video for this video guidance.

Add the option of keeping hotkeys consistent
Please add the option to have consistent keyboard shortcuts and not change them based on what the user recently clicked. For example, the f key won't work when pressing the play button with the mouse. Whatever the reason for this feature, make it optional because it's really annoying.

formatting
Currently there is no formatting abilities in the description field when editing the video details. We would like to see the ability to bold, italicize, link and other simple formatting in the description. This would help with accessibility.

Extend edit privileges to Stream channel
As a companywide channel owner, I'd like to be able to extend edit privileges to other users so there is at least one other person who can edit that channel in my absence.

Add the ability to change backgrounds while using the Record screen or video option.
We have members of our organization that rely on the "Record screen or video" capability on the Stream site since it allows them to quickly and easily record their screen and show their live camera feed. We would like to have the ability to change the camera background like you can today in Microsoft Teams with the background effects capability.

Teams Videos are now Shared to OneDrive - Add Upload from OneDrive URL option
For those of us who used Microsoft Stream to share meeting recordings, Microsoft's new default of saving recordings to personal OneDrive folders has made the process of uploading the video recording to Stream painful.
Please add an option to upload a video to stream by URL where we can copy/paste the URL from meeting chat and have it go directly from the OneDrive URL to SharePoint without the user having to download the file to their local computer first.

Het delen van video's buiten de organisatie is erg lastig. Daarnaast kon ik de waarschijnlijke oplossing - via groepen - vervolgens niet gebruiken omdat in MsStream uitsluitend werk- of schoolaccounts kunnen worden gebruikt. Binnen heel OFFICE 365 zouden ook persoonlijke accounts moeten kunnen worden toegevoegd ZEKER voor lezen en het tonen van video's! De permissiestructuur is vanuit een gebruikersperspectief lastig te doorgronden. Vast heel veilig maar (veel te) ingewikkeld.

Video segments
Hi, I use Teams to record my weekly meetings with my staff but sometimes some are not able to attend. Then I share it through a Stream Channel connected to my team.
During this meeting, we sometimes go for some demos on dedicated things that the staff has found during the week.
I am able to cut the video to remove beginning & end that are not appropriate but most of the time, I would like to be able to make a synthesis of the meeting for those who did not attend.

Quick view of viewers and likes
It's great to know how many people have viewed the video, but it would also be great if you could see who has watched the video, by hovering over the views button, I would like to know if students have actually viewed the video when they say they have without having to contact admin.

Skip ahead or back
Add an option for skipping ahead or back by some short interval such as 15 or 30 seconds. Rather than trying to drag the progress bar forward or back, being able to quickly move in one direction or the other would be nice.

Improve Stream membership limitation
Sort or listing names in alphabetically order
since you know there is a limitation with sorting or listing members in Stream, why don't you test the ability to highlight name list and then use the find feature in edit? I have over 100 students and trying to scroll through the list is ridiculous.
SECOND, I'm not sure how you envisioned the tool with more than 10 users, but there should be a feature when adding a member that you can indicate the group or community they belong to. There should also be the ability to sort those individuals separately. Check…

Show chapters/timestamps in progress bar
While you can add timestamps in the video description and they will be linked to that time in the video, it would be great if these would also show on the progress bar like the do on Youtube videos.

Assign Stream admins
Allow to manage Stream admins with Roles, the same way like Admin Centers such as Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, etc... Currently only Global Administrators or users with a Stream license are able to have access to Stream Admin settings.
This is frustrating because IT support users with admin roles need to have a license, in general those type of user do not tend to have Office 365 licenses or they need to be upgraded to Global admin so when you have over 30 IT support users it is not very secure.

Allow groups to use O365 groups instead of creating a new Microsoft 365 group
It doesn't make sense how anyone is supposed to use Microsoft Stream when it insists on creating a new Microsoft 365 group for membership to the Stream group. I need to be able to create a new "group" in Stream whose membership is controlled by existing O365 groups or Security groups.

The fact that you can't see an overview of a storage space usage per user(for all users at once) on a shared storage space is bizarre.

The video content is not protected. All uploaded content can be stolen.
Yes, the videos cannot be shared externally or downloaded, but it is very easy for students to use any external screen recording software. please find a solution to prevent screen recording.
Could you detect if a 3rd party screen recording software is being used, while video playback is happening on Streams? shortly; I want the privacy of content not to be indirectly violated within my educational institution.2 votes
