  1. We'd like videos to autoplay with audio muted both on the Stream page and also when embedded in SharePoint Online pages. This is similar to how videos play in social media platforms.

  2. I would like to be able to upload a pre-recorded video and then have that content scheduled to broadcast on a future day/time? Is this possible? If so, how do I set it up?

  3. Streams makes a good job managing permissions to play videos.
    There are occasions when information is spilled because someone using a smart phone or screen capture tool has captured part of a video that should not be shared.
    My asking is to enable a feature that would allow the video owner to tell MS Stream to overlay a watermark when a video is played.
    A possible solution could be a watermark string that has some dynamic markers. (ie, “confidential until May 13, Played by $User on $Date”.
    Watermark formatting could also be embedded in the string. (i.e. $PosFooter, $PosHeader, $Transparency).

  4. I often have to assign permissions on a video to multiple groups or channels. Right now, the interface makes me perform a search for each one over and over again. If I had checkboxes, I could assign a video to multiple groups and channels without having to perform the search over and over again. C'mon people, checkboxes for places where I might be making multiple choices is UX 101!

  5. I am a teacher and each class is assigned to a group. I often have two or three of the same class and I have to create a channel for each instead of creating one channel for all of my sections of the same class. This greatly increases the number of mindless clicks

  6. Support audio descriptions in a video, i.e. text-to-speech solution that reads from a text file based on a certain time in a video, pause video if necessary while audio plays.

    For example, in a live conference where a presenter is showing the audience a Powerpoint and not explaining a graph she is showing, a visually impaired person should be able to get information about what is shown in the video.

    Could perhaps be solved by offering a second audio track on the video (+ pause video)

  7. When a video needs to be approved, it would be really nice if the people approving place some markers/locators (with time) in this video, so i could export them as a xml and import then in any editing software (Avid, Adobe Premiere, Davinci Resolve), and make any alteration needed. Frame.io is a tool that make this task, but i wonder if there is a tool in microsoft 365 that could do it.

  9. Many people would enable 3rd party cookies even if their browser had the option to allow them from specific domains.
    Solution could be as simple as having a Sharepoint option on the share menu that used a sharepoint.com domain in the src.

  10. When editing a video to add it to a channel, you have to first type in the name of the channel in search before the channel shows up.

    It would be great if either ALL channels, or YOUR channels showed up by default instead of having to type something in first.

  12. Allow Global / Stream Administrators to be able to view all of the company groups from within Stream.

    When creating new channels as an administrator, unless the administrator is the owner of a group, it is not possible to search for and add the group from the Stream console.

    ■Title(件名):
    チャネルごとに動画のアップロードを制限する機能の拡充希望
    Add function to restrict video uploads on a per-channel basis

    ■Description(内容):
    Microsoft Streamを利用する上で、チャネルごとの動画のアップロードの制限がないことで、誤った権限で動画が公開されてしまうことを懸念している。
    特定ユーザーが誤って全ユーザーへ動画を公開しない為に、チャネルのメンバーのみ動画を視聴可能にし、かつ当該チャンネルに動画をアップロードできるユーザーを制限ができる設定があることによって、上記懸念を回避できると考えておりますので、機能の拡充を希望します。

    In using Microsoft Stream, there is a risk that videos will be published with the wrong visibility settings since there is no way to restrict the upload of videos on a per-channel basis.
    If it was possible to only allow channel members to view videos, and restrict the users who can upload videos to that channel, it would be possible to avoid such issues, given that we don’t want specified users to accidentally publish videos to all users.

  14. I've been using Microsoft Stream for quite a while. And, in the context of Nepal, doing very basic tasks like streaming and downloading the videos takes ages. Just in order to download a video faster, I have to use an Azure VM, download it there, upload it somewhere else like onedrive, close the VM and re-download the content in my device. It'd be great to have a faster access to stream from Nepal. Regarding my connectivity, I have a stable internet connection of 30 Mbps.

  17. As a user I would like to be able to lock my screen on the mobile when listening to a recording in Stream. Today the video stops when locking the screen. We're using it for sharing podcasts and would be great if could work with locked screen as well.

  18. Provide some indicator that is obvious to the user that you have already watched the video....and allow user to resume where they left off if they started watching and were interrupted. Ensure this functionality is present in Teams channel integration as well..

  19. The implementation of explicit permissions or "visible to whole organisation" should be reversed, so that it follows the documentation - ie. that "whole organisation" makes the video available to everyone, regardless of other permissions set. This will allow a small group to maintain permissions to video and to make them available to the organisation without having to delete the explicit permissions. I can't see a single use case for it's current configuration, which while labeled as a "conflict" is also labeled "as designed"... the two don't go together

  20. Please could we show the publish time alongside the date in the search results and the solo video page? This would help disambiguate videos when multiple videos of the same name are published on the same day.
