Allow channels to be assigned to multiple groups
I am a teacher and each class is assigned to a group. I often have two or three of the same class and I have to create a channel for each instead of creating one channel for all of my sections of the same class. This greatly increases the number of mindless clicks

autoplay video but muted
We'd like videos to autoplay with audio muted both on the Stream page and also when embedded in SharePoint Online pages. This is similar to how videos play in social media platforms.

Add a feature that would be detect if a 3rd party screen recording software is being used in order to secure the video content
The video content is not protected. All uploaded content can be stolen.
Yes, the videos cannot be shared externally or downloaded, but it is very easy for students to use any external screen recording software. please find a solution to prevent screen recording.
Could you detect if a 3rd party screen recording software is being used, while video playback is happening on Streams? shortly; I want the privacy of content not to be indirectly violated within my educational institution.2 votes -
Show chapters/timestamps in progress bar
While you can add timestamps in the video description and they will be linked to that time in the video, it would be great if these would also show on the progress bar like the do on Youtube videos.

Microsoft Stream needs Playback speed options.
Allow the ability to playback slower and faster. Fast playback 1.25, 1.50 is useful for students.

Update Microsoft Stream Transcript Capabilities
Transcript downloads should be available whether you're a user or owner. If you have access to the video, then you should have the ability to download it.

Change Published By / Uploader
Please add the ability to update and hide the "published by" or "uploader" field from a published Stream video. There are workflows where the video gets uploaded by one person, but it should not show their name and should instead some a generic department name, or some other identifier. For example, company wide town halls should not show the producers name when uploading the video.

Allow Support for Image files
I understand Stream is targeted at managing video content, however, it would also be great to be able to upload images/photos as well.

Show full title on Hover
When viewing a Channel, the title for some videos is cutoff. There is no hover feature to display the full title, instead users need to click on a video to view the full title.

Resume Playback from Any Device
When switching between different devices to watch a video (for example, from PC to mobile app), playback of that video should resume from whenever the user left.
In other words, Stream should remember till which point in the video the user has watched in one device, so that the user can resume from any other device.
This is similar to YouTube.

Increase max subtitle/captions tracks per video
At present the maximum subtiltes/captions tracks per video is 20. In a global organisation this is not sufficient. We have several examples in our current solution with 20+ subtitle files.

When adding a hashtag the application should query existing hashtags to be able to reuse the from the existing folksonomy.

to disable O365 groups in Steam
Very difficult to define a governance for wide company when you can do anything anywhere, especially for document management.... It would be very helpful to deploy the solution if each company can manage options for each tools for O365 groups, and not a ON/OFF option for the entire environment. For STREAM it's particularly important !

Include Editor rol in Stream
Owners decide who Edit or Upload Videos and who could view them
Editors know how make a good video and they have not to decide who goes to see it. Only upload and update them
Viewers would enjoy them.

Stream video import do not include property details from mp4-file
Pls. make the mp4 file property 'tags' import to the description field in Stream. This will avoid unnecessary double work.

Fix Stream Groups Members list (web ui) to Display All Members
A bug exists for Steam groups that were migrated from O365 Video where I'm not able to see the full member list in the web ui. In some groups I only see 5 members. If I add a security group with the contribute role, all the group members display.
This is for Stream groups that don't have an Office 365 group associated.
The devtools / network panel shows an endless loop of requests to pull the member list.
