We are often asked if a owner can track whether specific users have watched a specific video, especially for training purposes.

Easier permission management in Microsoft Stream
Currently managing permissions in Microsoft Stream is very time consuming and I have to constantly go in and out of each Stream video permission to change ownership. I would like an easier way of marking and changing permissions for multiple videos - both for ownership access as well as access to videos.

Filters and search bar for groups
We have thousands of groups in the Stream portal and we have no way to simply search for them, the groups in discover per example are flooded. We would need a search bar like the one for the channel search. There is another problem related to the same research difficulties. We need a way to filter groups in the portal. We end up with thousands of empty and unused groups. Add permission settings to companywide channels to control who can add videos
When setting up companywide channels, it would be great to have the ability to set permissions as to what "all users" are able to do. For example, if we have a channel of marketing videos, it is not appropriate that any user in the company can add to the marketing videos channel. Only people in the Marketing AAD group should be able to add. Should also be able to set if viewers are able to download the original, add comments, or remove the video from the channel.

Permissions - allow the option to share with "anyone with the link"
Our use case is to use Stream for student video presentations. We currently use YouTube for this purpose, where the video can be 'Unlisted' and viewable only to those people who have the link.
In Stream, we have the option to make the video viewable by anyone in the organisation, or nominated people, channels or groups.
All of the markers might not be known by the students, so it is important that we have an option where students do not need to either nominate each marker individually, or make the video available to anyone in the organisation.

Allow for export of transcript
Right now I cannot find any way to export the entire text of a transcript. This would be an extremely helpful feature so I can provide transcripts in MS Word format.

Add collaborators easily in Stream videos "permissions-people" section
On the subject of permissions in the videos, we identified a difficulty in authorising large groups of people. Indeed, the authorizations of a video work by group, channel and people. We have several cases of videos where the owners of the video cannot make the video visible to everyone in the company because it is not intended for everyone. Deep analytics
Our communications and training departments really need the deeper analytics that was previously available in SharePoint Video.
It would also be great to have information about the user displayed (in aggregate) such as dept, location, etc. Since this is O365 all that information should be available with AAD.55 votes -

Allow AD groups to be used when granting access
With Office 365 Video, we could assign AD groups in the permissions. We were wanting the ability to add Office 365 groups to Video. With Stream, we can create an Office 365 group for a Stream channel, but we cannot use AD groups.

Metadata migration
We want to be able to update the metadata of a video imported into Stream (at least #views, #likes) allowing us to progressively take over the stock of our old videos and reintegrate them into Stream! The most common data we need is: User, Duration of view, Views, Shares, Likes, Video Description, Video length, Publisher, Last update, Language, Category, URL, Channel and Private/Public.

Support Q&A as Mix used to
The single feature that made Mix superb for use in teaching was its ability to embed Q&A in videos. This feature is missing in Stream. Without it, there are many competing ways to produce videos for teaching and it doesn’t seem that Stream offers an advantage.

Allow for Live Events for Microsoft 365 Business Licensing
At present, Live Events are only available for those with Enterprise Licensing. However even small businesses under the Microsoft 365 Business licensing models should be able to access this functionality.
Further, I have been advised that the Stream Add-On does not allow for Live Events functionality (erroneously documented here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/stream/license-overview). Perhaps allowing for this would suffice?

Stream Apps - upload to group or (Team) channel
At the moment the Streams app allow you to upload video's but you have no influence on where they are uploaded. The app should allow you to browse to a group or (team) channel and upload your video there.
