  2. Allow translation of transcript into user's local language (like the translate feature in Yammer and Teams)

    Allow user to translate auto-generated transcript so that closed caption's can appear in the individual's local language.

  3. Auto blur faces

    To ensure that companies follow the European GDPR laws I suggest an “auto blur faces” option when uploading videos to stream. This option would shorten the time spent manually finding and blurring faces with other applications.

  4. Recording audio only as a new create option

    We have a great platform to start storing new kinds of documents that are coming more and more in the companies. Vlogs and Podcasts. These are new way to deliver informations and are more and more on demand in companies.
    Storing Podcasts could be great cause we can very offently consider a teams meeting as just a podcast if there is nothing to show. Using ML we could easily extract keyphrases and we could propose to users to follow some keywords and download these 1 or 3 min around the keywords as a daily podcast. That would help in braking…

  6. Allow students names to be alphabetical in Teams

    Students are not currently alphabetical in the members page of Teams. There needs to be options for how to sort or at least just make it alphabetical. There seems to be no logic to the way it is currently organized which makes it difficult to find students.

    Support for terms which are part of a tag, but not the full tag name, e. g.:
    search term "micro" also shows all results including "microsoft".

  8. Implement backup and restore in Stream

    Stream does not have a recycle bin and therefore videos that are deleted can not be recovered. This seems like a huge gap in capability that one would expect in an enterprise solution for video collaboration.

  10. Live Chat

    In order to get viewers involed in Live Events a chat/comment function like the ones on YouTube or Twitch are essential for Microsoft Stream.
    Furthermore it should be possible to post comments linked to the specific time of the video where the user is currently at.

  12. Fixed URL for Live Streams input

    This feature was already created on technet.
    We need to push a video from an external source to live streams.
    The problem stream creates a new URL for every live event.
    We neeed at least one fixed URL for each tenant.

  15. Approval workflow before publishing video

    I some situations, like internal training videos, it could be very helpful to upload the video to a specific channel and to get an approval of a second person before the video is finally published. We save time by having to map the process in a different tool and we could use the viewing features of Stream.

  16. Enable closed captions by default

    At present, you have to manually set the "Video Language" before closed captions are created. It would be great to be able to set this globally, so that closed captions (and therefore transcripts) are created for all videos by default.

  17. Fix the transcript auto-scroll

    When trying to edit and review a transcript, it jumps both up and down and basically impossible to follow along with the video. This happens in both the new edge and chrome.

    After video uploaded, the "Allow everyone in your company to view this video" will be checked by default. My company want to change this behavior to become unchecked by default.
