One of the importance’s of this idea is with regards to screening individuals prior to employment/involvement. Embedding a Stream into a form or Teams channel, or SharePoint page so that a guest could engage with it would provide the needed functionality. Keeping Stream viewers limited to organizational logins only seems to be against the grain of where MS is heading with the M365 ecosystem.

How this isn't already fixed is beyond me. This is a major flaw.

Please give us a status update. We can't use Stream without external sharing. We want to concentrate all our videos (formations, tooltips, conferences, meetings) in Stream but we still need Youtube for some that need to be share with people from outside our organization.

Hi there, im teaching remotely in China via MS Teams and am limited with options, MS Stream is out since they're guests, youtube is a no go and O365 Video is retiring next year...guest access to stream, similar to all other applications, eg Sway, is essential!

Microsoft, You are doing it for Microsoft To-Do List in Mid-July 2020. Now do it for Microsoft Stream! It is really pointless for many non-profit groups that have people from a whole slew of domains that cannot see the videos without downloading them and then uploading them to YouTube. Alternatively you could make an on-line upload directly to YouTube button in the MS Stream site and that would work well too.

This really is a must!! We are seeing a number of our Schools, moving video streaming away from Stream and using third party systems like YouTube.

Would be a great plus when team meeting could be recorded for healthcare workers to view this in their little spare time.

A public stream link is a must have. an option to make the link password protected would also be nice.

Adding this capability to Stream would be a huge bonus in a University environment. Any chance of fast tracking it?
Use case would be directly linking to anonymous raw video file in H5P (in Moodle) rather than having to use YouTube or Vimeo, or direct upload.

With MS Teams Live event allowing public access to events, one would think we could save the event to "Microsoft Stream" and utilize the same way to allow public access.
I am looking for this option the quickest way possible.... I know Roadmap is Q4 but with everything going on now, I don't want to miss the opportunity by another product being used and what the users become familiar with, getting them to change to "MS Stream" will be very difficult.
Maybe at the very least allowing access to "MS Streams" permissions through "Guest Users" and provide a registration link. It may not give the ability to just post it on facebook and other social media, but it will allow for controlled access. It would be beneficial if you can have an option to request a name and email address, along with a few other optional fields to watch the Stream anyway.
