Provide option to allow anyone in the company to download original file
I'm using stream to save videos for our teams to take to events, and would like to allow them to download the original source video to a USB stick (for cases when we can't rely on the event wifi).
Could be implemented for all employees or a select group.

Ideally, download enabled is a setting per video, and we echo the ask to control download by group or selected resource. We promote mobile and the app works well, but some folks still need primary device download to laptop, especially now that we aren't "on the road." @rae jobst maybe not as often as they should?

I wonder if anyone from Microsoft visits this forum?

There is a really long thread on this in the Microsoft Tech community, going back 3 years. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-stream-ideas/allow-download-of-videos-for-non-owners/idc-p/1192865#M2244

Agree, there should be a download button when you are viewing videos on Stream.

Please make this a option to anyone.

Agree, there are many other use cases, like needing the source file to edit into another video, or submitting the video as part of a portfolio intended for outside the company, etc. I can easily share it via Teams so it would be nice to have consistent behavior across apps. Also, I end up losing a lot of time with email requests for the source file, makes for an inconvenient process.
