Sharing video should grant access to Video (like SharePoint\OneDrive)
Sharing video should grant access to Video (like SharePoint\OneDrive)
Currently Owner has to update permission of the video after sharing video with user. It would be easy if clicking "Share" button should update permission for video too (like SharePoint\One Drive).

I agree that the functionality should work like it does in SharePoint/OneDrive, as users are familiar with sharing to give permission. The extra step is not intuitive.

This is simply a huge UI issue when users are sharing files in SharePoint/OneDrive that do modify permissions. The Share button in Stream essentially works like a Send a link. Users are confused working between the two services and won't remember the extra step in Stream.

Or at least give a "Request Access" button that sends the author a link they can click and grant access.

So I can "share" with a distribution group containing 200 people, but then need to manually enter permissions for each user because Stream permissions can't see distribution groups?

Would definitely need this. I have many users coming back to me saying "even though I have shared the video other users are not able to see it". I have to re-iterate the fact "Share" does not really mean giving permissions to the user and they have to go update the video details in order to do that.

Yes this would improve usability so much. The current way is so unintuitive. I'm constantly sent videos where I don't have permission to access, and the person at the other end struggles to find and change the permissions and every time I have to guide them how to do it wasting lots of time.
