For the new Teams Meeting Recordings (TMR) auto-delete policy, delete ONLY the video.
One of the main goals of the new TMR automatic deletion policy is to save storage space. The idea to change/alter this with a configuration that will change what happen. Instead of deleting the video and all associated files (transcripts, specifically), just delete the video file and preserve the transcripts. Attach (or make available via link) that transcript file to the meeting record (calendar event?) so that the general substance of the meeting is still preserved without having to waste space on keeping large video files that people rarely view again (if at all). This could be a configurable feature (or extension) that organizations can choose to enable or not. This change will still achieve one of the main goals of this new auto-delete feature (save storage space), while still allowing organizations to preserve a more insightful (and searchable) record of those meetings.
