Add collaborators easily in Stream videos "permissions-people" section
On the subject of permissions in the videos, we identified a difficulty in authorising large groups of people. Indeed, the authorizations of a video work by group, channel and people. We have several cases of videos where the owners of the video cannot make the video visible to everyone in the company because it is not intended for everyone. They also can't allow other groups because their community doesn't have access to Yammer. The only way to share their video to the right community is to add people 1 by 1. Sometimes there are 500 of them and you have…

Disable View Counter to prevent perceived inequality
Every Video shows a view counter, this causes issues between employees as they post similar videos but one will get more views than the other. Allow Admins or video owners to turn off the counter display on the videos. The data can still be retrieved through audit logs, no need to display to all viewers.

Custom dictionary for close caption
Stream close captioning doesn't recognize terms specific to our company (such as company and product names, project, acronyms etc. ). It would be great to have a way to add these words into a custom dictionary to allow a consistent captioning and avoid unfortunate transcription and manually changing the same terms in each videos.

Assign Stream admins
Allow to manage Stream admins with Roles, the same way like Admin Centers such as Exchange, Sharepoint, Teams, etc... Currently only Global Administrators or users with a Stream license are able to have access to Stream Admin settings.
This is frustrating because IT support users with admin roles need to have a license, in general those type of user do not tend to have Office 365 licenses or they need to be upgraded to Global admin so when you have over 30 IT support users it is not very secure.
Thanks

Support other video formats (i.e. MKV) for auto generating subtitles/transcript. (Spanish teacher request for students)
Currently only a couple of video formats are supported for autogenerating transcripts. As a language teacher, it would be hugely beneficial if you would support more video formats (i.e. MKV).

Metadata migration
We want to be able to update the metadata of a video imported into Stream (at least #views, #likes) allowing us to progressively take over the stock of our old videos and reintegrate them into Stream! The most common data we need is: User, Duration of view, Views, Shares, Likes, Video Description, Video length, Publisher, Last update, Language, Category, URL, Channel and Private/Public.

Update the format for Microsoft Stream transcript downloads
I just downloaded the transcript for an hour long call which translated to over 250 pages because of the additional (unnecessary) data. As an example, for every few words, the system includes "NOTE Confidence: 0.75867236 95daea09-4d5b-4b1f-897a-54fdc3d7f559 00:04:03.352 --> 00:04:05.607" and spaces galore. This isn't necessary. I literally just need the transcript of what is being said and it's taking hours to cut through the unnecessary information. There should be an option on whether or not to include this information in the download. The transcript in it's current form is essentially unusable.

Allow Multiple folders within channels to organize streams for the viewers
Students looking at lists of streams can be overwhelmed. If we could organize them into folders by topic/chapter it would be easier for students to find what they are looking for.

Basic video streaming service concepts missing
Here are a few basic functions that would be incredibly helpful to have for tracking video progress and interactions with viewers:
Trend Reporting:
Average time viewed for videos
Growth over Time for views/likes (day, week, month)
Views over a 24 hour period (when the videos are watched during the day to plan for new content releases)Other recommendations:

Permissions - Add "request permission" link to "You do not have permission" message.
When one clicks stream-link, that he has no permission to, a "You do not have permission to this video" message appears.
However, there's no way to request permission from the video owner.I suggest to add link that enables requesting permission from video owner(s), similarly to SharePoint.

Allow students names to be alphabetical in Teams
Students are not currently alphabetical in the members page of Teams. There needs to be options for how to sort or at least just make it alphabetical. There seems to be no logic to the way it is currently organized which makes it difficult to find students.

Have embed links that work in Sharepoint without 3rd party cookies
Many people would enable 3rd party cookies even if their browser had the option to allow them from specific domains.
Solution could be as simple as having a Sharepoint option on the share menu that used a sharepoint.com domain in the src.22 votes -
When embedding a Microsoft Stream channel on a webpage, allow keyboard-only users to interact with the embedded media content
When embedding a Microsoft Stream channel on a webpage, allow keyboard-only users to interact with the embedded media content i.e. play, pause, like, comment and any other interactions available to other users. This will ensure a more equitable experience for people using keyboard-only navigation.

Allow video creator a list of people who have viewed the video
It would be helpful to know who has views the video I have created. In the education setting, this allows me to track participation and know how is missing out on critical content delivered asynchronously.

Stream assign retention
It would be great if the admins could assign retention periods to videos; or at least have an API to write a workflow to review videos for archival or deletion. Not my idea (orginal idea: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-stream-ideas/video-archival-and-retention/idi-p/88901) just adding it to user voice and casting my vote.
