  3. Teams Videos are now Shared to OneDrive - Add Upload from OneDrive URL option

    For those of us who used Microsoft Stream to share meeting recordings, Microsoft's new default of saving recordings to personal OneDrive folders has made the process of uploading the video recording to Stream painful.

    Please add an option to upload a video to stream by URL where we can copy/paste the URL from meeting chat and have it go directly from the OneDrive URL to SharePoint without the user having to download the file to their local computer first.

  4. Sharepoint-like 'Request Access' form for MS Stream videos

    A video link was shared to me, but the uploader has set restricted access to it. However, I cannot see who I can contact to request access to this video. At least in Sharepoint there is a form where access can be requested and it would be great to have a similar from for MS Stream.

  5. Maak het delen van video's buiten de organisatie mogelijk en eenvoudig ook voor persoonlijke accounts.

    Het delen van video's buiten de organisatie is erg lastig. Daarnaast kon ik de waarschijnlijke oplossing - via groepen - vervolgens niet gebruiken omdat in MsStream uitsluitend werk- of schoolaccounts kunnen worden gebruikt. Binnen heel OFFICE 365 zouden ook persoonlijke accounts moeten kunnen worden toegevoegd ZEKER voor lezen en het tonen van video's! De permissiestructuur is vanuit een gebruikersperspectief lastig te doorgronden. Vast heel veilig maar (veel te) ingewikkeld.

  6. Video segments

    Hi, I use Teams to record my weekly meetings with my staff but sometimes some are not able to attend. Then I share it through a Stream Channel connected to my team.
    During this meeting, we sometimes go for some demos on dedicated things that the staff has found during the week.
    I am able to cut the video to remove beginning & end that are not appropriate but most of the time, I would like to be able to make a synthesis of the meeting for those who did not attend.

  8. Fix the transcript auto-scroll

    When trying to edit and review a transcript, it jumps both up and down and basically impossible to follow along with the video. This happens in both the new edge and chrome.

    When creating new channels as an administrator, unless the administrator is the owner of a group, it is not possible to search for and add the group from the Stream console.

  11. Screen Recording enhancements - round camera, display on selected screen and longer timer than 3 secs

    1) Show the webcam video on the actual selected screen

    Otherwise one has to manually move it and also results in inconsistent formats being placed not always in the same spot.

    2) Circle/Round Camera Format / Recording Layouts

    Because takes up less space, less interfering with background and looks more fresh than square or widescreen format. All three should be an option.

    Ideally using layouts, so that placement can be easily selected,
    Left vs Right vs Upper vs Lower corner of the screen.

    3) Longer Timer Than 3 seconds! (optional setting e.g. 3, 5, 10 secs)

    The video playing experience is very bad on Microsoft Stream. Right now I'm listening to my lectures only in audio mode. Please improve the video management system of the platform since ALL of our lectures are happening online here in Pakistan.

  13. Enable video policies for videos based on utilization (e.g. deletion)

    Imagine we have a working stream environment with very active content creators. Over time, we will create a lot of content that will become obsolete over time.

    It might be interesting from a governance point of view to explore the implementation of video policies. These video policies are triggered on specific events based on video utilization (e.g. last watch time). The main use case is the deletion of unused videos. Here some ideas about what policies might be able to do:

    • if a video hasn't been watched for more than 1 year, delete it automatically.

    In order to get viewers involed in Live Events a chat/comment function like the ones on YouTube or Twitch are essential for Microsoft Stream.
    Furthermore it should be possible to post comments linked to the specific time of the video where the user is currently at.

  16. Improve Stream membership limitation

    Sort or listing names in alphabetically order

    since you know there is a limitation with sorting or listing members in Stream, why don't you test the ability to highlight name list and then use the find feature in edit? I have over 100 students and trying to scroll through the list is ridiculous.

    SECOND, I'm not sure how you envisioned the tool with more than 10 users, but there should be a feature when adding a member that you can indicate the group or community they belong to. There should also be the ability to sort those individuals separately. Check…

    As a user I would like to be able to lock my screen on the mobile when listening to a recording in Stream. Today the video stops when locking the screen. We're using it for sharing podcasts and would be great if could work with locked screen as well.

    I'm an organizer, I want to check who has viewed my videos in stream.
    Admins can pull audit logs but as an organizer i want to see who all viewed my videos, i request yo to please implement these feature.

  20. Allow groups to use O365 groups instead of creating a new Microsoft 365 group

    It doesn't make sense how anyone is supposed to use Microsoft Stream when it insists on creating a new Microsoft 365 group for membership to the Stream group. I need to be able to create a new "group" in Stream whose membership is controlled by existing O365 groups or Security groups.
