  1. Reduce the size of the Live Events Ingest URL - 81 characters is to big

    It would be nice if the URL could be shortened.

    The FQDN of ther server actually has 81 characters.

    It's not possible to use the VBRICK DME to RTMP push the video because the field only allow 80 characters

    Example:

    Provide the option of downloading the audio-portion of a Stream video only. This provides a mechanism to efficiently access the audio playback for compliance requirements that don't include video for storage in a document management system.

  3. Add support for YouTube style viewing shortcut keys

    YouTube has nice support for viewing shortcut keys. The commonly used ones are

    J = backwards 10 secs
    K = pause/resume
    L =forward 10 secs

    When creating new channels as an administrator, unless the administrator is the owner of a group, it is not possible to search for and add the group from the Stream console.

  7. Quick view of viewers and likes

    It's great to know how many people have viewed the video, but it would also be great if you could see who has watched the video, by hovering over the views button, I would like to know if students have actually viewed the video when they say they have without having to contact admin.

  8. Schedule video publishing time in Stream

    It would be such a huge improvement if we could upload a video an then set a time and date for it to be published automaticly. Facebook's got this function. Why not Stream?

  9. Use First AND Last name on greeting page

    Stream is addressing a person by her First Name. This kind of communication is not suited for a company network in germany. This escalated up to CEO Level.
    One possible solution to get back to a more formal tone suited for a Company network is to use "Willkommen zurück, Max Mustermann", using First and Last Name in Stream. So please use First an Last Name to address user.

  11. Stream Windows desktop App with offline viewing

    it's great that we have the offline viewing feature in the iOS & Android apps, but we need it in a Windows app too to make travel/low network access time really productive, as videos containing UI or text aren't usuable in a smartphone form factor

  12. Track views based on which language closed captions were selected

    I have a video with multiple closed caption files. Is it possible to track views based on which language closed captions were selected? Under the analytics tab I only see views and likes, and nothing relevant to closed captions on the Hive analytics report.

  13. Please make it possible to disable the record your screen option in Stream or allowed only per user.

    this makes it very easy to record a meeting without informing anyone. I can simply use PC sound and headset for recording screen.

  15. Larger video player size

    It would be helpful to have the option to make the video player larger.

    I can do the default small size (can't see anyone's screen sharing details), or full screen (too big).

    I don't want full screen because I can no longer multitask or switch windows easily. I prefer the video to fill the browser tab, instead of wasting all the white space.

    Could we have a medium size that uses the browser screen size, without taking over my whole desktop in fullscreen mode?

  17. reverse the explict/whole organisation video permissions

    The implementation of explicit permissions or "visible to whole organisation" should be reversed, so that it follows the documentation - ie. that "whole organisation" makes the video available to everyone, regardless of other permissions set. This will allow a small group to maintain permissions to video and to make them available to the organisation without having to delete the explicit permissions. I can't see a single use case for it's current configuration, which while labeled as a "conflict" is also labeled "as designed"... the two don't go together

  18. Supporting audio descriptions

    Support audio descriptions in a video, i.e. text-to-speech solution that reads from a text file based on a certain time in a video, pause video if necessary while audio plays.

    For example, in a live conference where a presenter is showing the audience a Powerpoint and not explaining a graph she is showing, a visually impaired person should be able to get information about what is shown in the video.

    Could perhaps be solved by offering a second audio track on the video (+ pause video)

  19. Basic video streaming service concepts missing

    Here are a few basic functions that would be incredibly helpful to have for tracking video progress and interactions with viewers:

    Trend Reporting:
    Average time viewed for videos
    Growth over Time for views/likes (day, week, month)
    Views over a 24 hour period (when the videos are watched during the day to plan for new content releases)

    Other recommendations:
    Reply to comments
    Email notification for comment postings
