Support other video formats (i.e. MKV) for auto generating subtitles/transcript. (Spanish teacher request for students)
Currently only a couple of video formats are supported for autogenerating transcripts. As a language teacher, it would be hugely beneficial if you would support more video formats (i.e. MKV).

Please add a way to check the video size of Teams meeting recording on Stream.
Teams meeting record are uploaded to Stream, but there’s no information of Video Size and no way to check , please add a way to check this.

Custom dictionary for close caption
Stream close captioning doesn't recognize terms specific to our company (such as company and product names, project, acronyms etc. ). It would be great to have a way to add these words into a custom dictionary to allow a consistent captioning and avoid unfortunate transcription and manually changing the same terms in each videos.

Disable View Counter to prevent perceived inequality
Every Video shows a view counter, this causes issues between employees as they post similar videos but one will get more views than the other. Allow Admins or video owners to turn off the counter display on the videos. The data can still be retrieved through audit logs, no need to display to all viewers.

For the new Teams Meeting Recordings (TMR) auto-delete policy, delete ONLY the video.
One of the main goals of the new TMR automatic deletion policy is to save storage space. The idea to change/alter this with a configuration that will change what happen. Instead of deleting the video and all associated files (transcripts, specifically), just delete the video file and preserve the transcripts. Attach (or make available via link) that transcript file to the meeting record (calendar event?) so that the general substance of the meeting is still preserved without having to waste space on keeping large video files that people rarely view again (if at all). This could be a configurable feature…

Allow thumbnails to be set based off a timestamp added to a SharePoint Column or Similar
The new implementation of Thumbnails in Stream on SharePoint is really nice (being able to select a frame in the playback window, and set this as the Thumbnail).
However, what would be really incredible would be if we could automate the thumbnail-setting-process, either based off a timestamp entered into a column in the videos' document library, or via an action in a potential future Flow Connector.
The idea is that we could enter a specific timestamp, such as 00:06, and have the frame which is shown at this timestamp be set as the thumbnail for the video.

Display video description for Stream on SharePoint in playlists as a default column. All my video files have a description in the 'About Video' settings, and I want this column to be mapped or otherwise connected to a 'Description' field in each playlist so I do not have to manually re-type the description in each playlist.

Set colours on your channels
Simple really. I have a channel for each of my 7 departement. Each of them have a seperate colour scheme. It would be great if I could select a colour for them.
This could just be the bar with the channel name.

Add spotlight carousel for channels
Also a channel should have a spotlight carousel. The functionality can mimic how this works for groups.
Company wide public channels (not belonging to a Groups) will, most likely, be used exstensively. Spotlight would be excellent to promote specific content.2 votes -
Add .75x Playback speed to options
I'm watching a recorded presentation and while I can make it faster, the only option I have to make it slower is .5x, which is too slow (makes the presenter sound drunk). 0.75x or even more granular playback speed options would really be helpful.

Link transcript item to speaker
It would be useful if Stream (or the recording medium if that's actually where the recording is made) could attribute the speaker to the line being spoken.
I'm not a programmer so I don't know if it would be easy or not, but when the speaker speaks their window is displayed, so there must be something that recognises that people are speaking which could be moulded perhaps?
I also recognise that if people don't have their microphones muted this could mess this up, so a bit of meeting discipline could need to be applied regarding this at our end too

In Group, Make Finding Group Channels Easy

Be able to edit publish date / video date
Add the ability to set the video date. The date/time that it was published is many times not the actual date of the video. This field should be editable. It should also be able to be used as a sort option within a channel.
